Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics received a slew of awards from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA).
EISA awards are most highly regarded honors in Europe's electronics industry. More than 50 editors from electronics magazines in 20 European countries decide the best products in each category by evaluating technology, design and innovation.
Samsung said three of its products -- the 2007 Bordeaux LCD TV, the Full-HD Home Theater and the Ultra Edition 12.1 mobile phone -- were chosen as the best in their categories, beating out global competitors.
LG's BH100 Blu-ray/HD hybrid DVD player, FA/FB 162 compact AV system and FM37 touch screen MP3 player also won EISA awards.
Samsung Techwin received an EISA award for its VLUU i70 compact digital camera. Products that receive awards are marked as EISA winners in European markets for one year.
