Nokia gets Windows Live

Latest hook up with Microsoft will get your mobile playing nice with all your web stuff.

Nokia and Microsoft’s burgeoning relationship just got serious. The Big M and Finland’s favourites have announced that they’re to launch Windows Live specifically for S60 cells.
This means if you’ve got an N95, N73, N76 or N80 in your pocket, you can get downloading and have get Hotmail, Messenger, Contacts and Spaces on the go.

It’ll kick off as a free trial, but if you like what you see, then there’ll be a monthly fee to contend with.

Microsoft obviously fancies itself as a bit of a mobile player, and they’re already pretty cosy with Nokia. Their plans to bring PlayReady DRM across all their devices has the potential to slap down Apple’s hopes for world domination.

We’ve already primed our N76 with the new software, which you can check out in our gallery. If you like what you see, then boost on over to www.nokia.com/windowslive.
