HP to release iPAQ 600 Windows Mobile smartphone in Korea later this year?

File this under “very likely to happen,” as HP Korea spokesman told Korea Times that they are working to launch a third-generation PDA phone, dubbed the iPAQ 600, later this year through Korean wireless operators.

We have not much details about the upcoming HP smartphone, except that it will support HSDPA, which should ensure ultra-fast download speeds for the future owners of the HP’s device.

However, as the iPAQ 600 will almost certainly be a business-centric device, I guess we could freely add WiFi and Bluetooth support of the specs list. Furthermore, we bet it will run the latest version of Windows Mobile — the iPAQ 510 has it, why not the newer model?

What about the keyboard? Apparently, the::unwired doesn’t think this baby will sport the full QWERTY keyboard — or at least their rendering suggests so. Like in most cases, we’ll have to wait for the official word from HP to confirm anything. Stay tuned…
