Alltel Announces the Wafer Slim Phone by Samsung


Alltel Wireless today announced The Wafer, one of the thinnest, sleekest phone available on the U.S. market today, is now available exclusively at shopalltel.com and Alltel Wireless retail locations. Here is more info:"The Wafer (SCH-r510) by Samsung, offers customers all of the cool features they have come to expect out of their wireless phones in an 8.4mm form that can slip easily into a pocket, purse or the palm of your hand. The Wafer, weighing only 2.7 oz., features XM Radio Mobile, Axcess TV and Axcess Mobile Guide. The phone also comes equipped with Axcess Search preloaded allowing customers to search for ringtones, wallpaper or other information on their phone by simply holding down the pound key. Other features include a 1.3 megapixel camera with video capabilities, an MP3 player and a removable memory slot.. The Wafer is also the first Alltel phone to have Stereo Bluetooth headset capability. The Wafer is now available at Alltel Wireless retail stores and at shopalltel.com for $109.99 after a $40 mail-in rebate. This discounted price is for customers on two-year service agreements as well as existing eligible customers on qualifying rate plans. Customers who purchase The Wafer and are on a qualifying calling plan are able to join “My Circle,” Alltel’s exclusive feature that allows customers to choose who they call for free – any 10 numbers, any network.
