Wmode Announces Acquisition of ProvisionX from Glu Mobile

Wmode Inc., a provider of mobile content managed services, announced today that it has acquired ProvisionX, the third party mobile games delivery business for mobile operators from Glu Mobile Inc., a leading global publisher of mobile games.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Wmode was advised by East Peak Advisors on this transaction.
ProvisionX allows mobile operators to offer subscribers mobile games with the best purchase experience possible and serves carriers and media companies in Asia, South America and Europe.
ProvisionX was formerly a division of Macrospace Limited of UK. Glu Mobile, formerly Sorrent, Inc., acquired Macrospace in December 2004 for approximately US $21.1 million.
Wmode said the acquisition has expended its service offering and geographic reach. With the acquisition of ProvisionX, Wmode now operates its comprehensive mobile distribution services for customers in over 20 countries.
