Nero and Marvell Demonstrate Next Generation Mobile Multimedia Solutions at CES 2007

Companies Will Illustrate How Smart Phones And PDAs Can Be Used to Access and Enjoy Digital Photo, Video and Audio Content Anywhere

Nero, leaders in digital media technology, utilizes Marvell's PXA27x Application Processors to demonstrate how the Nero Mobile application transforms smart phones and PDAs into feature-rich mobile media centers at CES 2007. Using the standards-compliant Nero Digital technology, Nero Mobile combines outstanding multimedia playback performance with easy to use media management features to allow users to access and enjoy digital photo, video and audio content anytime, anywhere.

The demonstrations will illustrate seamless networking and UPnP streaming between a notebook powered with Nero MediaHome and a Nero Mobile Smart phone, as well as efficient content sharing between two mobile devices powered by UPnP networking and Nero Mobile portable multimedia center software and a DLNA-compliant UPnP mobile server.

Members of the press are invited to experience Nero Mobile demonstrations at Nero's CES 2007 booth (South Hall 1, Booth #20613) and at Marvell's CES booth (South Hall 3, Booth # 30183).

Nero Mobile bridges the digital home and mobile worlds to enable consumers to seamlessly transfer content to mobile devices using Nero Digital technology, a codec that compresses digital files while maintaining outstanding audio and visual quality, guaranteed by the state-of-the-art standard-based codecs (MPEG-4/H.264/AVC and AAC).

The latest Nero Mobile features are hand-optimized for the new Marvell PXA3xx family of Application Processors, as well as the demonstrated Marvell PXA27x processors and include Wireless MMX (WMMX) and Wireless MMX2 (WMMX2) multimedia instructions, which ensure long battery life for portable electronics, even with the most demanding multimedia content.

"Nero's award winning Digital Media Applications enable users to create, manage and share digital media content between their PC, CE and a wide range of mobile devices ", said John Tafoya, General Manager of Global Alliances, Nero. "This new optimized version of Nero Mobile Multimedia Center will leverage the Marvell PXA processor to enable new enhanced Audio/Visual experiences on low power mobile devices. "

"The mobile entertainment space is quickly becoming sophisticated enough to offer consumers the ability to access and enjoy the same amount of diverse entertainment options they can experience in the home, " said Gary Forni, Director of Marvell's Platform Enabling, Cellular and Handheld Group. "The expertise and resources of both Marvell and Nero fit together well to bring digital entertainment consumers the future today. "
