Condoms invented for your mobile

The Dutch are known for their liberal views on sex so perhaps it is not surprising one of them has invented a phone condom.

However, the multi-coloured sheaths are not meant to turn your mobile into an erotic toy but instead to make it water, paint or mudproof.

Rogier van Camp, 29, calls the protective pouches 'Skins' – and admits he was inspired by condoms.

Two-and-a-half years ago, while painting a swimming pool, his phone would ring but he had no way of answering it with his dirty hands.

Mr van Camp's business partner, Marc van Elk, was carrying a condom and the idea was born.

He said: 'At first the lubricating jelly damaged the phone but, once we changed the material, we realised this would appeal to plenty of people.'

Now the inventors are bringing the Skins Mobile protectors to Britain.
A pack of three sells for £2.99 and a pack of six for £5.99.
