We’re not sure that many users will be taking advantage of an online photo-printing service for the iPhone. The iPhone’s camera isn’t anything special and the lack of a built-in flash turns night-shots into nightmare shots. But, that didn’t stop ECCE TERRAM from bringing an online photo-printing service to the iPhone. ECCE TERRAM has announced that they will be launching an iPhone client that allows iPhone users to order prints of their pictures online, directly from their iPhone. It seems that the iPhone’s ability to store your digital picture album and multi-touch image manipulation makes the iPhone “the first attractive and user-friendly mobile phone photo print application that will be loved by its users.”
Users will be able to order picture-books and postcards printed from the image files on their iPhone - either taken with the iPhone’s camera or transferred from their computer.
A final version of the ECCE TERRAM iPhone picture-printing service should be available shortly after Apple releases the official iPhone SDK.
