USA Gets HSDPA Love from Samsung

Oh, Samsung. We're already fully aware of your ongoing quest to create remarkably thin phones, but you've got some nifty features up those sleeves too, don't you? Targeting the American 3G phone market, Samsung has just announced the launch of the A717 clamshell and the A727 candybar, both of which are about as slim as can be.
The A717, for example, measures just 12.9mm thick, providing a profile that will make any RAZR feel jealous. The A727 candybar is even more anorexic at just 8.9mm of thickness. Both phones feature video sharing functions, enhanced video transmission, speaker phone, Bluetooth, and music downloads.
And no, the pretty girl does not come with the phone. Oh you...

T-Mobile USA to get Samsung T729, T419

T-Mobile USA is about to introduce two new Samsung handsets to its customers. While the first one, SGH-T419, is an entry level device, the SGH-T729 prides itself as a mid-range message-oriented phone. Let's go briefly through both of them…

As we've already mentioned, the Samsung SGH-T419 is an entry-level dual-screen clamshell handset, that also boasts the VGA (0.3 MP) camera. Internal display has resolution of 128×160 pixels and can display 65k colors, while the external is null. Interesting thing to note is that SGH-T419 also boasts the Bluetooth wireless connectivity — meaning this device is not exactly positioned at the rock bottom of the low-end spectrum.

The slider Samsung SGH-T729 should replace the T719 model. It's a stylish little fella' that should come with a 1.3 MP camera, Bluetooth, null hybrid keyboard and the 176×220 pixels / 262k colors display. Furthermore, the SGH-T729 will also come with BlackBerry Connect support, and in that sense will be among the cheapest push-email enabled handsets on the market.
